The Story Behind The Picture
American Saddlebred, Fashion Attraction (“Fashion”) is a long term resident of Cross Creek Stables. She is loved by all big and small – and for many years she taught beginner and advanced lessons. Fashion took care of new riders, and helped more experienced riders enhance their skills. Everyone wanted an opportunity to ride Fashion, and all who did learned so much. She was the “go to” horse for a rider’s first “off the farm” horse show, and no matter what happened, Fashion knew how to handle it…even when the rider could not remember! Fashion, alone, is responsible for starting many lesson riders who went on to become successful riders and active members of the horse industry. Two years ago, Fashion retired from teaching riding lessons, but that has not stopped her from continuing to teach kids the importance of horse care. At the great age of 30 this year, Fashion still loves being brushed and bathed by lesson riders, neck scratches, and visitors with her favorite treats: apples, carrots, and peppermints.
